Jose A. Mendoza serves as counsel in the Los Angeles office of Carlson Law Group, Inc. Mr. Mendoza has over 19 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions and litigation. His practice includes representing clients in construction defects, buying and selling real property, lease disputes, professional liability defense, wrongful foreclosure, commission disputes, contract issues, business litigation and real estate transactions.

Mr. Mendoza has built his practice around providing efficient legal representation to his clients. He is experienced in all phases of litigation, including law and motion and discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial work. Mr. Mendoza also counsels clients on effective risk management, and provides training seminars to real estate professionals and brokers on avoiding litigation. Prior to joining Carlson Law Group, Inc., Mr. Mendoza served as counsel in the Los Angeles office of Klinedinst for 7 years.

Prior to that Mr. Mendoza served as in-house Litigation Counsel for Coldwell Banker, one of the nation’s oldest and largest real estate brokerages. His extensive work in the brokerage’s Los Angeles office involved managing and defending cases made against real estate brokers across Southern California. Internally, he also developed and conducted a training program for use with the firm’s licensed agents.

Mr. Mendoza received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Mendoza is a member of the California Association of Realtors Legal Affairs Forum and an Advisor with the California State Bar’s Real Property Law Section Executive Committee.  Mr. Mendoza has achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
